I've got a Metuchen-built '69 Mach 1, built June 5th, 1969. The previous owner took the car apart, and I'm trying to figure out what kind of hardware I need to use to reattach the roofrail channels that hold the roofrail weatherstrip. I'm really more of a '65-66 guy, and I know you can buy the correct flat-head philips screws for those year roofrail channels, but I'm not sure if that's what should be on a '69.
Did my car originally have screws or rivets holding these channels to the roof? I tried looking in the Osborne manual, and the picture that's there really doesn't leave me much to go on.
Thanks!

I helped a friend re-install these weatherstrip channels in his '70 Boss and we used the flat head phillips screws you mentioned. I'm pretty sure they were used on '69's as well.

Agree with screws - just can report on the head design nor shape as I haven't seen enough NJ fastbacks/sportroofs to have a clear understanding
