Title: recommended clutch for my 428
Post by: Yellow r code on March 06, 2025, 10:17:25 AM
I'm looking for a recommendation for a clutch for my 70 428 car. I've looked at Mc Leod and Centerforce
clutch web sites. They all state performance, I never seen a stock one.. I'm looking for a stock clutch that is easy to press. I'm 56 years old and I want to drive this car every weekend with out it killing my leg. Any help and if so a part number, so I can look  the clutch up on line. Thanks again for everyone's help.

I had issues with my McLeod Long style clutch chattering and switched to a Centerforce with good results.  Just as important for your needs, I urge you to convert the clutch to the roller bearing instead of the bushing.  It makes a big difference in the effort required.
