I apologize in advance, for bringing this up again, but I have really been searching, and all of the information is really scattered and differs widely. I need to know how to recreate the textured Hood stripe on a ?70 Mach One. I realize that TCP Global sells a lacquer based paint that will do the trick, but since my car is painted in urethane, my painter refuses to use it (and that?s it!) Unfortunately, I need to find another way to achieve the flat, textured finish that would give the desired result. I have really been wracking my brain on this one. Thanks.

I used the TCP Global textured black on my Mach 1 recently with excellent results. Without looking it up I dont believe it is lacquer based. My painter used Sherwin Williams automotive products.

Did you have to buy a whole gallon of it, or were you able to get a smaller quantity?
