I am restoring a San Jose 1968 Mustang 390 GT fastback with decor interior. I am wondering if any 1968 Mustang came with a luggage compartment (trunk) and/or engine compartment light and, if so, what option group these are from so I can confirm on the Marti Report whether my car should have either of these lights.

Believe for a Mustang these were options/accessories that could be ordered when the purchase was made or if bought from the dealership. Basically something a dealer would add once the car was received

I think you are looking for the "Courtesy Light Group"
It is sometimes called the Visibility group.
All the Shelbys got this option, but the under hood light was deleted because of the fiberglass hood.
It includes underhood, trunk and glove box lights plus a glove box lock

Thanks Pete for setting that one straight. Guess that was what he was looking for rather than the individual accessories like I mentioned
-
I think you are also correct as they could be as accessories
-
Thank you. Would the Visibility Group be listed as an option on the Marti Report?
-
Yes it would
