Title: 67 A Code Factory A/C Discharge Hose
Post by: RBarkley on January 17, 2025, 02:58:27 PM
Good Afternoon
Do I have the right a/c discharge hose from the compressor to the condenser? Trying to imitate the factory unit but the hose seems to be too big? I can bend it, but it puts a lot of pressure on the fittings. Especially at the condenser. Measures roughly 18+ inches.
Thanks
Ron

The repro is a little longer than original, but yes, the rubber part will need to be bent to get it to fit.

Ok.  Thank you Charles!

I had the hose cut and new end added.  I could have had another 1/2? taken off, but it fits much better now. Cost me $40.00. It is a lost art finding shops that do rebuilt power steer, a/c hoses, and custom welding and fabrication.  John at Cool Flow Industries in Houston took care of me!

It looks good. I wish I had know of what you were planing on doing because I pick up everyone not cracked of those 67/68 69/70 discharge hose that I come across and replate them in the correct historical plating for those showing in concours. I would have been glad to measure a original for you. Regardless you got the job done and it looks like it is very close.
