Title: 1966 E-Brake rear coil springs...
Post by: Maksim27 on March 01, 2024, 06:33:44 PM
Guys I was just wondering was there pink paint on the E-Brake rear coils on the end springs.  Kind a looks like long springs on the ends.  I seen the pink paint on 68 years, but not sure on the 66 one piece cable. These are not my original cables just a set of OEM cables that I'm cleaning up to install.

So your asking about the small dia springs that would be hidden from sight once the car is installed?

If so I don't believe they had a dye on them. Do have early (likely same as assembly line examples - boxed 1966) that are just natural

Yes those long springs.  I seen pink paint on 67-68 years, and wondered if the 1966 one piece cable also had the pink painted springs.  But I see that you're telling me that the springs were natural on 1966 San Jose Mustangss
