So, I am detailing a 1969 shifter. This is the part directly below the shifter handle. Has anyone seen parts of these painted black?

I have only seen the major components phosphated,  If you need a new rubber bushing let me know.

My 2 cents is after having and seeing numerous 69 shifter controls over the years I have a high confidence level that they were typically Zinc Phosphate.
