Title: 69 fastback bolt in glass
Post by: AJ on April 10, 2023, 07:41:23 PM
Can bolt in door glass conversion be easily detected on a 69 fastback when car is assembled.  I know it?s obvious with coupe and vert but what about fastback ?

One thing that would be easy, well some of the time depending on condition with be the date codes. Other than that I can't think of a tell that is visible once its together

Is there a reason to change to bolt in for this car?

Weighing options.  My glue in glass has some issues (wrong dates,  surface scratches,  one bracket is glued incorrectly)

Years ago  i collected the bolt in brackets to do the conversion.

Since i?ll be buying new glass either way, and i already have the brackets, I was contemplating ordering bolt in glass from ECS etched with 9A date code.   Maybe evoking boos hisses from the gallery but i?ve already veered off track a time or two during this project.

Wondering if See No Evil concept applies.

Understand but had to ask. Modifying the car like going concours is a slippery slop

Goo luck with your choices
