Recently (Dec 2022) purchased TMI and Distinctive headliners for 69/70 fastback to compare colors. Photo show comparison to my original. FYI for anyone curious.
-
So is the TMI product more of a grey versus a black? Thats what the photos show? Same material otherwise?
-
The TMI is more grey when compared to the Distinctive. The TMI and Distinctive appear to be made of two different materials since they have different backing material and slightly different moon crater patterns.

Adrian Thanks for posting. Say the post and picture over on the SAAC site and hoped you would post here also. Guessing that, just looking for confirmation, that the difference between the three is as different, in person, as it is in the picture. We know how lighting, as well as camera and monitor setting can vary and alter what we see.
Again Thanks

Just to show and reference threads when they should be merged there was an earlier discussion on the headliner color and reproductions in 2016

Jeff, one photo was taken inside garage and other taken outside in natural light. The TMI was off color enough that i was compelled to try a different brand in effort to find closer deep black to my original visors. The Distinctive is still not quite as deep black as original, but in the shade of the cabin roof, the difference isn?t noticeable.

I bought a set of Sail Panels from NPD and they were grey, much like the TMI version. They were very different from the headliner (which must have been Distinctive) and I was forced to recover them as they would have clashed with every other black part in the interior. I assumed that black was black but apparently not so.
