Title: Seat track plates 🤷‍♂️

Were the plates that go between the seat track studs and floor carpet held in place by anything or just put in as seat was installed?

Seems like my tracks had some whitish putty around the base of the mounting post at the track bottom. That?s why I was thinking they had something there.

What year are you asking about?  Fair number of details between the years and your signature covers three of them :)

Some years they were just placed between the tracks and the carpet and held with pressure while later were attached to the tracks. Search might offer you answers if you include the year
