How to identify 1967 S code calipers? Is there a difference in fluid hose for 390 cars. Keep seeing info that 390 cars had a 3/8'' hose versus 5/16'' for other engines. Seller has set that has 71016 on casting, difficult to tell if last digit is a 6 or 8, thread diameter of hose that threads into caliper is .043''. thanks

Don't think there was a difference in 67 calipers. All cars received the same unit regardless of engine size. There was a difference in hose size between the 65/66 cars vs the 67 KH Calipers. Just make sure you're getting 67 units with 7/16" inlet. If you want a properly restored set call Shelby Parts and Restoration or Chockostang.

Actually it as a early late 67 thing and not big block vs small block or even only one way in 67 thing. The earliest 67's used the same smaller size hose fitting as the 65/66 . It was not long after 67 production started that the caliper hose fitting evolved to the larger size. Those cars built in early Dec 66 or earlier are in the gray area IMO even though it is after the MPC change over date.

Using the search feature and "67 caliper" you can find a fair number of threads with pictures and details
