I've gone through the 66 Body Assy Manual and found that the vent extractor section talks a lot about sealants, but misses on fasteners. It tells me to go look at a page not supplied.
The 65/66 spreadsheet also does not list what I need.
I had two vent disassembly boxes -- left and Right. In each box I found 11 of the following screws (22 total):
--8-32x1/2 Pan head Phillips screw
-- 0.306 head diameter
-- Strange self tapping tip
-- Silver finish
-- See pic
It could be I just happened to throw in 11 screws on each side from somewhere else on that area of the car.
I would check the outside metal vent itself, but it's at the painters. I recall it has 1/4-20 studs to attach it to the body. I have the spinning nuts for that application.
What is it?
[add head diameter and I'm trying to do much at a time -- it's an 8x32]

That's the one, Jeff.
I was trying to do this from memory as the individual large parts are packed away so I don't lose them. 51764-S2.
The other problem was that I took these apart over 5 years ago and I was trying to do this via the drawings.
[yep that was dumb]
Thanks.

More information. Attached are "updated" drawings from "Ford Car Parts" (aka MPC) 75 ed, ILL Body 290.1 P04 and "1966 Mustang Body Assembly Manual" with the "missing" screws shown. This info was taken from a 1966 San Jose Oct, 18, 65 build GT Fastback (mine).
This applies to all 1965 and 1966 Fastbacks with the vents (65 Shelby and carry overs included).

Nope
Carry over/very early 66 Shelbys had quarter (plexiglass) windows not Mustang extractors

I stand corrected.

A follow up. On Ford Body Assembly drawing N5-8818-2, in the lower left corner is revision history.
It says:
DATE 1-18-65 SUPERSEDES 7-27-64
EFFECTIVE WITH CZT1-461833 - REMOVED ITEM 2, (C5ZB-63278C14)
HOSE AND ATTACHING STANDARD (Unintelligible on my drawing. It may say CLAMP.)
I thought the drain hose was standard on all 1965 Mustang Fastbacks, but it seems to have been removed in January, 1965, halfway thru production. That also means that no GT Fastback should have the drain hose.
Does anyone have the way to decode "CZT1-461833"? I think "C" is the decade; "Z" is Mustang; the rest is "code".

The car may be modified, but the extractors were done to stock, concours level.
Between the two of these there are over 80 pieces with different plating and painting.
By the time you get to the extractor slide and cover you are well over 100 parts.
Whew...
Edit for better pic
