Hi all,
I have 3 questions on the master cylinder cap. I'm seeing that for 1967 there were two tipes of caps.
(My master cylinder was replaced so I don't know how exactly it was from factory)
My 67 Shelby GT500 was released from SJ on 12-28-1966.
My first question is what type of cap had from factory with a cross vent between the reservoirs or with no cross vent between the reservoirs?
Second question my cap was yellow zinc plaiting or silver zinc plaiting before the semi gloss black dipping?
Third question what decal it had the C6AZ-19542-A or ESA-M6C25-A form factory please?
Any information please?
Thanks Kyle

Did you look at the article in the Library section on Master Cylinder caps?
I just tried the link in the Library. It isn't working these days.
At Marcus's site, look for it in Mustang Factoids.

*from the PDF file, this image should help.
I would think your build date would be the EARLY Decal but before buying one, perhaps more input could answer "when" the later decal began being used.
The cap was sprayed sgb, not dipped. Ports for the brake line fittings had a mask cap inserted that left a circle overspray pattern around the fitting opening. These details have been covered in other threads.

Hi,
Yes I saw the article of Marcus site for the brake master cylinder caps. They are very helpful.
True, I believe that my car had the early cap with C6AZ decal as well.
But still not 100%.
Thanks

Only the cap was sprayed? So the master chylinder were sprayed as well?

cap was on the master when sprayed. masked at fitting as stated above.

Thanks for the information. The brake booster was sprayed with master cylinder please?
I think that they were sprayed together because my booster has no paint were the master joins.
Here is a picture:

sprayed as a complete unit.
