Title: rear shock plates
Post by: 1966KGT on October 01, 2021, 11:36:33 PM
11/08/65 built San Jose ,K ,GT, would they be standard  plates, or special , date coded? My car has a set of Canadian built traction bars w/ plates built in. Basically "slapper bars". I am 2nd owner. 67K miles. Drag Dimension I think.

Yours would be standard plates nothing special. FYI even GT350 used standard plates. There was not a special plate in 65/66.  The shock plates do not have date codes.

Shock plates are the same no matter what body style or engine option.  I haven't seen date codes on originals, but sometimes a hexagonal logo.
