There was a nasty mouse nest on top of the driver side package tray plus the prerequisite field install 6x9 speaker cutouts. Want to replace said, but the replacement piece from NPD is a rectangular stamp of unpainted fiberboard.
Has anyone dealt with this install on a 69/70 fastback?
Thanks,

Never used reproduction parts for this always used originals. There are two layers one a waffle like patterned layer or slightly different pattern depending on where the car was built of insulation with a somewhat smooth (with a little grain) hard preshaped top board. Likely the mice used the insulation to help build their nest.
