Post by: Brian Conway on February 25, 2021, 11:41:03 AM
Looking for a bit of K code info.  Were all K codes GT's ?  Were all K codes equipped with 9" rear ends ?  Thanks, Brian

Send me a PM if you or your friend want to get into the K and/or GT weeds about a particular car

Remember that production of K code Mustangs preceeded the GT options by months during the 65 production year. And be careful as ALLOT of K codes were made into GT's over the years.

Just heard back from my friend and he is looking at the car Sunday.  He says the car is a 66 fastback.  Added that the vin code was for a hardtop.  So the story begins.  Brian

The rest of the story... Turns out the car was a ' C ' code hard top.  A ' K ' code vin had been welded to the drivers side but the original passenger side vin was still in place.

Is it possible to post the VIN so in the future others will not be taken in by a scam?

I saw that ad on CL yesterday.  Let me know if you find out the true story.  It was still a pretty good deal for a clean FB
