Title: 1970 Mach1 Hood Trim Acorn Fasteners
Post by: alanmac on February 08, 2021, 02:35:20 PM
My Mach1 has the photo Acorn nuts retaining the hood trim molding.  I am pretty sure these were on my car when I bought it in 79.  Per the Fastener spreadsheet these are not the correct ones, 8-32 nut, Acorn, 0.393T 3/8 hex Ford P/N 384102-S100.  I am thinking these were a carry over on early build 1970.  Thoughts are appreciated.  Alan

on an old Boss 302 registry thread I found another person with an early production Metuchen car that reportedly came with the larger 69 acorn nuts.

Greg; thanks, likely were using up extra stock from the 69 model year.
