Is there a resource for Shelby paint/trim production like Mustang by the numbers by Kevin Marti?
Also in 68 were the 15 inch rims and tires installed at the Ford assembly plant or during the Shelby conversion?
Why were the tires raised white letters changed from small to large then to a black wall all in the 68 model year? Was it Ford or Goodyear making the change?

Im not sure if understand the first part. The codes are all Ford codes. The axle codes are unique to Shelbys.
I believe the wheels and tires were installed by Ford assembly in NJ
Not sure why the felt the need to change the tires during the year. I will do a little digging on that. A similar thing happened in 1967.

It appears the RWL tires were the same price so Im guessing that was a decision based on appearance.
The BSW tires were cheaper, so we can probably conclude that was an economic decision. I believe that some late built GT350s probably used the BSW tires.

Regarding the price, are you looking at the Ford purchase price or something down the road such as cost to SA or cost to dealer?

Fords cost on five tires as shown on factory punch cards
Shelby cost should be the same. I don’t think cost of tires was broken out for dealers

I was asking for instance how many 68 Shelby's that were built with Lime Gold paint and black interior. Marti's book gives the number breakdown of all of the Mustang paint/interiors.

That maybe in one of the Registries.
I dont think I have seen it anywhere else.
I think I have a chart as well based of Marti report information.
