Speedometer cable routings are shown in the 64-65 Mustang Chassis Assembly Manual, pg 24, 66 is very similar.

If your referring to the speedo gear use the resource Jim posted and you'll need your rearend gear ratio. With those two the part number and color should be there

THIS might be the tag off C4 WCY -R 283 5EA 909

according to the book its 3.25
-
Now I figured out what you are looking for, your PM was confusing.
Need:
- build date
- engine type
- transmission type
- rear axle ratio
- tire size
Jim
-
no build date 200 engine c4 3.25 tire size 60 x14"
-
Hugh,
Axle ratio 3.25:1 is not listed for a 66 Mustangs with a C4. However, 3.20:1 is. The tire size listed is what was delivered in 1966. Ratio 2.83:1 is the only other ratio listed for your combinations. The color of the gear should be Gold, and have 18 teeth.
