I just found these clips and unfortunately I did not label them and I can't recall where they belong. Can anyone identify these. There were only 4 of them and they appear to be painted green.
Thanks

Could be for fan shroud

+1 - They are clips that mount on the radiator for the fan shroud mounting screws.

In looking at the 1960-68 MPC, it shows that the clip for the Fan Shroud is Part Number 380250-S. In going to the 1969 Ford Standard and Utility Parts Catalog (copy of page 67 attached), it shows that exact Part Number is 380250-S32. It also shows that it is 5/8" x 5/8". The S-32 is "Black or Zinc Chromate Primer (green). Does this match what you have ?

To assist in identifying "unknown" hardware items, check the library under topic "Hardware By Size/Dimension". Another tool is the "AMK Products Guide To Ford Fasteners, 1955-73", 274 page of text and pictures arranged by type of hardware items use on Fords. The three books, "Ford Standard and Utility Parts Catalog, xx" (January 65, July 66 and January 1969), fill in gaps.

Hi Bob yes I believe that is correct. FYI my car did not come with a fan shroud, so I would have to assume that the clips were still in the radiator, but for some odd reason I did not bag and tag the clips with the rest of the parts when I stripped down the engine bay. I will clean them up to get a better look. It looks they have a stamp 10A. Not sure what that indicates

Great thanks I will have to take a look at my rad to see how they mount

Hi Bob thanks that is great information. Where can I get diagrams like that. That would be very helpful

Mike : That came from the Illustrations Section of the 1960-68 Ford Master Parts Catalog.

Thanks Bob I need to find one. All I have are the Osbourne assembly books which are good, but not as clear. This could be a game changer!

One "minor" problem, the nut clip (380250-S32) is for a size 12-11 screw, the attaching screw (31498-S(x)) is a size 14-10.
I suggest using a real long wrench or ratchet handle to install. ;)

Added picture.

It's not a "you" problem, it's not a "me" problem - it's a Ford problem. ::)
I found the "discrepancy" when I added the nut clip and screw to the hardware spreadsheet.

For a 390 fan shroud application, do we know which thread size is correct - the 14-10 screw size or the 12-11 nut clip size?
