I have original exhaust hangers - let me know exactly what you need to know here.  What motor do you have and exhaust system are you using and maybe I can post some pictures.

Here is photos of what original exhaust hangers for the mufflers would look like.  There is FoMoCo stampings and Z and W stamped on the brackets for what I believe was used to distinguish left and right side:

And this is what the current reproduction I have looks like compared side to side:

I stand corrected here...the Z and W stamping on these brackets most likely is for Mustang versus Cougar applications.  You can also see the length of the rubber is different between the left and right side.  But other than that, this is what original hangers would look like.  Just need a matched set.

Best would be to post some pics of exactly what you have so we can see...we probably should have done that first.  And yes, the single exhaust brackets are different...but the question here was on the dual exhaust brackets.

I posted 2 NOS 1970 Mustang exhaust brackets for your reference. One bracket shown is off dual exhaust LH as previously posted and the other is off single exhaust RH. They look the same at a quick glance. The Z designates right side and the W is for the left side. Cougars have different part numbers but still have the Z and the W markings. Hope this helps....Shelby

Factory single exhaust muffler hanger are different than the factory duel exhaust hangers and have different part numbers.

The 351C 2V also uses the D0ZZ-5260-A front hanger & all 70 Mustang use the same C8ZZ 5260-B RH rear hanger including 6 CYL.

Shelby - From the pictures you posted, the hanger with the paper tag reads as a C9ZZ-5260-B which is for a 2 barrel single exhaust 302 Mustang.  What is the other hanger in the pictures?  Do you have the part number for this....I see a partial part number on one of the boxes, but dont know if the boxes go with the hangers.

I think what you have is actually a DOZZ-5260-A not a -B.  If you look at the photo below the hangers both actually seem to be for the same side if you look at the way the top bracket and holes are, and also the bottom bracket.  So I am still not convinced that Z and W are left and right if every other Ford part always used a L and R for left and right side.  This would be the first and only part I know of where Z and W are for left and right side.

Joe, it looks like you have Cougar hangers C9WY-5260-B, C9WY-5260-C The one side looks like they put a new insulator and installed bolts.

Nope the floor (unibody) is different as well as other body panels

The "platform" is very similar with a number of panels in common
