Title: 67 fastback trunk question
Post by: Armond on November 14, 2019, 03:15:14 PM
Can some tell me, first if the trunk rod is longer on a 67 fastback than a 65/66?  Or the same.  I need a 67 for a past customer who lives 700 miles away.  I have a tension rod here from a 65, with no way to check the fit.  If it is longer and I am assuming it is, how much longer?  Any input appreciated.

I have a 67 but no 65.  See the attached.

1965-66 fastback uses C5ZZ-6344890-B whereas 67 uses C7ZZ-6344890-A, although the MPC references a quantity of 2 (same part for RH & LH) for 1967, but that is not what I have. Maybe this is another running change?

65-66 measurements are different than what John posted from a 67 so they don't interchange as expected unfortunately

Nope - not a running change just a mistake.  Maybe carried over from the convertible and coupe application.
