Can you please advise re the correct location for the Hazard switch. I thought that the swtich was located inside the glove compartment but I cannot see any holes where the switch should be mounted. Currently its located under the dash but I dont think this is correct. Can you please assst.
thanks

It's mounted on the inside upper left top, near the front of the glove box. A 65 was mounted under the dash, as an option.
I strongly recommend you get a set of 66 Mustang Assembly Manuals, plus the 64-65 Chassis, and 64-65 Weld and Sealant manuals.

You are correct that the switch should be located in the glove box. Your car probably has a '65 glove box insert installed which didn't have a glove box hazard switch.

When was the car built?

Thanks Gentlemen, my 66 was built in September 65 and does have other 65 components on the car I have notice ie: engine mounts. Could it be that as it was built in Sept 65 is the reason it is mounted under the dash or not?
Cheers

Thankyou very much, really appreciate it.

There appears to be some possible wiring differences specifically in the power to the flasher between a 65 optional flasher and a 66 standard equipment flasher. The under-dash mounting may be a relocation of the standard 66 glove box mount.
