Title: Left Front Apron Marking - Dec 65 San Jose
Post by: KenFirch on August 03, 2019, 01:17:05 AM
I was thinking of putting this marking back on the left front apron since this area is now repainted.  Marking looks like "ALR" which doesn't sound like a fender hook location to me.  Maybe someones initials?   :).  Didn't see anything on the radiator support.  Anyway, what would I use if I attempt to write it back onto the panel?

Thanks

That is a marking that was under the paint not on top of it from all appearances. It is like others that are commonly seen on radiator supports and the like when stripped down to bare metal. Since the the apron has already been painted you have lost that window of opportunity to use a paint stick like they did at the factory and put it on before painting. Bottom line is no one will ever know if it is there or not.
