Title: Engine compartment inspection sticker locations
Post by: rmaginnis on November 14, 2010, 07:04:35 PM
Need help locating the 'P'aint inspection sticker (i.e, where do we normally see it?) For reference I have been looking at pics one of Bob's unmolested 70 b302s that was a May 1970 build and also last years find of the Grabber orange B302. On both cars (both Dearborn) there is a sticker on the top of the driver's side shock tower. I can't tell whether it is a 'P', 'B', 'E' or 'F' (I'm positive its not a 'T') In both cases it almost looks red in color which would make it a 'P' I think.  On both cars there is also an inspection sticker on the cowl, drivers side above the pinch weld - which one is this?
Thanks,
Rick

Rick, on the Blue car the sticker on the shock tower is a red E. The same car has a Black P with Zaineb ink stamped on it. The sticker on cowl is either a red B or P with letters EB punched thru the sticker. Very faded. The Grabber Orange car in MM photos has repop stickers so I would be cautious using it as a reference?

I haven't seen any red 'E' repops, I'll have to keep looking or make my own. Thanks for the details!
