Getting ready to install the 289 in this '66 convertible. The clutch housing is already in place, but was wondering about installing the trans and dropping it in all in one piece. Any thoughts? I have a hoist and fork lift for height.
The guys on the assembly line in the Martha Reeves video 'Nowhere To Run' do it in about 5 seconds, with the exhaust pipes and shifter attached! lol.
Thanks, Pete.

Since its a small block its doable if you have the manpower to watch and guide the tail end of the transmission to and below the firewall and a attachment to hang the engine as trans assembly that is highly adjustable, Done it a number of times by myself but its tricky and not suggested due to the long reach and effort.
I tend to do them individually myself but the effort is a trade off.

Sounds like individually might the way to go for me. Thanks.

Always positives and negatives to any choice
Good luck and stay safe during the process
