I was digging through more parts and found my SJ Shelby wiper motor assy and one from my parts car. Both are early March cars in the low 7R18xxxx series. Motors are Autolite. Thought I'd post these for reference.
Here are part numbers in yellow from the parts car and in white from the Shelby.

Just checked mine. Seems to be original too...
Build Date is 03/02/67
Built at Dearborn

Same birthday, different plant. Interesting.
Here is an unknown build date 67 with an M85 stamp.
There in another one but can't make out the smudged mess.

I would agree that the Wiper Motor is probably an original Wiper Motor, but original to your car ? I would think not since it is dated 11 days after your build date. I would think that that would be a little too far "down the line" ?

Hey Bob, where do the 11 Days come from?
i didn´t get it..
Just to clarify (regarding german and US calendar date) My Car was built in Dearborn March 2nd. 67 Will update my signature.
Do you think the time from 13 Feb to March 2nd is too Long?
It really Looks like never touched. Most of the car.

You noted that your car's Build Date was February 2, 1967. The date on your Wiper Motor is February 13, 1967 ; 11 days after your Build Date. Make sense ?
I should clarify that I took your February 3 date as the actual Build Date, not the projected Build Date. Of course if your February 3 date was the projected Build Date and the actual Build Date was February 13 or later, then no problem.

His information says his car was built on 3-2-67 so the 2-13 -67 date on the wiper motor is fine in my opinion.
-
OK, thanks!
Is there a (global) List with, let´s say, average days between date codes of metal Sheets, parts to cars build Date?
However, i guess there are too many variable.
Stock quantity, where the parts are built and so on.
I collected and created this list for my car. Most parts were stamped 1-3 weeks before March 2nd.

Dates would vary too much to give a general statement. Work or supply issues on some parts and not other parts depending on the supplier at any given time. Weather conditions effecting shipping and so on all would have their impact instead I focus to just around each specific production period by plant to reflect those issues. If you would like to share (pm or email) what you have collected on your car it could be added to the cars' I've already collected over the decades. If not that's ok also
For me lot less info on Dearborn and especially NJ cars since its not as easy to find in general

No Problem Bob!
Jeff: I will translate it and send it to you.
Originally, my Intention was just to document the restauration… but since I found this Forum (and all the date codes!), I realize what car I have and how lucky I am.

Interesting that I could not find any indication of paint on my wiper motor. Not sure if I should paint mine or not. Also looks like the ink is pink, but it must be white
