Going to try and do the multiple features related to the 65 trunk lid changes all in one thread. We'll see where it goes.
If you want to contribute below are the features I'm focusing on in this thread. We can expand if need be. Date code of the trunk lid or trunk lid hinge are extra credit :D For hinges list drivers side (DS) or passenger side (PS)
Just made up descriptive terms that relate to the different versions. Had to choose something. Will follow up with pictures of each version
1- Car identification - Something along the line of 5F09T 1234xx or 5T2595xx will work fine
2- Car condition - Restored/repainted or unrestored?
3- Trunk inner panel design - Windows or circles? (Date would help but not required)
4- Trunk lid spring - Passenger end - Points inward or outward?
5- Drivers side trunk hinge - With cage or without cage? (Date would help but not required)
6- Passenger side trunk hinge - With bushing or without bushing?
7- Passenger side trunk hinge - No arm stops, welded stops or integrated stops?
8- Trunk spring arm (End of trunk spring to passenger side trunk hinge) - Single or double?
Think that will do it for now.

Ok, all I can remember is this is an early 65 Fastback built in Detroit. The owner has "disappeared" (retired and gone East, like Michigan) so further information is not available. All I took were the three pictures.

2. Repainted over original paint prior to 1992. But may not have repainted in trunk

5. No cage but electrical clip. Date code of hinge 10/8/64
6. With bushing
7. Welded stops - date code of hinge 9/16/64

This isn't my car Jeff but took some pics when I saw it last year.
1. 5R09A137XXX (11J build date)
2. Repainted
3. WIndows Date code of lid 8/11/64

5. Cage - unknown date code

7. I don't see stops in the picture

2- Car condition - Restored/Modified (trunk is stock, other than finishes)

5- Drivers side trunk hinge - No Cage
6- Passenger side trunk hinge - No bushing.
7- Passenger side trunk hinge - Top is welded -- there is no lower and shows no signs of ever have been there.
8- Trunk spring arm - Single

I many cases if there was a bushing installed originally in the passenger side trunk hinge the hole is still noticeably larger than the rod and the hole will still be fairly round. Trunks were rarely opened and closed enough to wear an larger or circular hole if it was designed for no bushing

I measured the rod at 0.25 and the hole at 0.280 or so.
The bushings pictured don't fit with that small of a difference!

Just a little update sort of as I'm working on some related details
