Title: '66 rear axle center snubber

Were there two types of snubbers in '66?.....my car does not have a groove for the raised edge to fit into, just the two bolt holes, with a hole between them

This style should work for you
You'll just have to find one nos
It was the same on my late 65 SJ fastback

You are correct..I checked pictures of my last San Jose built '66 and the snubber has the lip protruding up rather than down as in your picture.
