Title: Fresh Air Vent
Post by: Brian Conway on November 29, 2016, 07:44:10 PM
I have the left side fresh air vent out and would like to ask what the large ' hook ' is for attached to the forward facing portion.  The rear has a provision for a turn signal flasher unit and the forward ' hook ' is to cradle the wire harness ?  Thanks,  Brian.

I just finished restoring the fresh air vent on my July 65 hardtop, and it also had the lower wire retaining hook. The hook is metal covered with a rubber coating and was apparently intended to hold the wires coming from the steering column.  This seems to be a running change during 65, as I noticed an early 65 vent had no provision for the hook.
