Hi mates,
I was waiting for some stuff to restore my glove box, and they finally arrived so this morning I have done the restore.
I was missing the Emergency flasher switch and the light. I wasn't sure if I had the correct harness under the dash to connect everything, but after a close inspection, it was there.! The original harness going to the switch was a little wound around other cables, but have unwound it and when tested, all 4 turn lights worked.! So job done.
Then, I have fixed the light, and again the pigtail connection needed was there, so easy job, just connect and go.! I have also replaced the screws that holds the liner into place, I think they are now correct, or at least they sold me like concours correct.! Guess my whole glove box is close to concours now.! One thing less to worry about..

I just finished mine as well. Used those same black screws.. I also hope they are correct. I was in the same boat. i happened to find an emergency flasher switch at carlislie a couple years ago and just picked it up. I later found my harness wrapped around some other wires up in the dash.Hooked it up and all four flashed. With how everything in this hobby seems to fight back so hard i was dumbfounded that the stupid things started blinking the first freakin time.

rrenz, yeah! It's amazing when you connect a thing in a 50yrs ol' stuff and works at first shot.! Satisfaction is what you feel.!

Jeff, thanks for the pics I note a couple of details.
My eyes are not used to discover those small details, but I can see the screws are "Phillips" style while in mine are not. Didn't find here the right ones, but give me some time.!
Then I also see the position of the "tyre pressure" decal to be centered while mine is a bit on the right.
Maybe I'm missing others sorry.

PS: OK, the screw that holds the cable to the lid is also black. The set was 7 black screws and I think it has 8 holes.!

Purpose was just to help out and provide you with some addition access to a picture. Don't worry about the decal - it was a quick rapid application and as long as it was stuck "about there" I'm sure it reflects how some were applied. It all takes time and we often focus on one detail will overlooking another - its just being human :)

For the screws, maybe it would be a good idea from NPD to make the packages of 8 screws instead of the 7 they are selling now. See that 8 is what is needed for the glove box.!

Often you will see another type/style attaching the limiting cable to the dash rather than the phosphate flat head version
While you looking at hardware you might want to find some machine screws for the emergency flasher bracket rather than the bolts you have ;) If you wish to

The two screws for the 66 emergency flasher switch bracket are 54505-S2, 10-24X1/2 pan 3/8 dia, Philips; the nuts are 34655-S2, 10-24 hex 3/8 drive, with an attached external tooth lock washer.
The two door cable stop screws are 379203-S2, 8-18x1/2pan with a shoulder. (A wavy washer was used in 1964-65 only.)
A picture may be worth a 1000 words, a part number describes the item completely.

Yes Jeff and Jim, many thanks for the detailed info about the nuts and screws. As I mentioned before, I didn't find the right ones here, but will look for them in other stores around, sure I will find something. If not, there's always the chance to order them from the US, when I have a larger order to post. Thanks guys.!
