Title: 1964 1/2 emergency flasher unit

I am working on a May 25, 1964 production date convertible, D-code 289, 4-speed Top Loader.  I am fairly sure that Tung Sol was the manufacturer of the emergency flasher unit (#224).  My question is:  Is the correct shell plastic or metal?  I have located NOS originals, just not sure which is correct:

Believe the body/cover was metal for your car
