Hi all,
What is the proper finish on the bolts that mount to the rear channel guide - zinc cad. or painted to match the car? Also, same question for the metal plugs that cover the window adjustments.
Thanks for the help!

The door is painted well before any door internals are installed. The exposed bolts are phosphate, the latch screws are clear zinc, the plugs are body color.

Thank you Jim!

Aren't the door plugs natural on the earliest cars? If so is there an approximate cut off date?

Best I can tell, only first few weeks of production, usually including pre-prod cars too.

Thanks Charles.
My Mid April 64 has natural plugs on one side.
On the other side they are body color. But that side had been replaced with a used door from another car and re-painted (poorly, as in.. EVERYTHING!) to match.
