I have only seen ones used after Jan 65 but have no reason to think they were not used before. It is great to know that he sells them . Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

This clip was discussed here - http://www.concoursmustang.com/forum/index.php?topic=5650.msg31651#msg31651
It appears to be used on 65-66 V8 engines and 69 V8 engines, with others a possibility. I believe the part number is 378771-S100, see Mustang Hardware Spreadsheet in the Library section of this forum.
My measured dimensions for 1966 use are: 1.437L, 0.492W, 0.032/0.079THK, 0.384D CLAMP, 0.208/0.267 Hole.
In 1967, the clip was different and part of the alternator harness. The same integral clip to the harness is shown in 1968 but another clip is also referenced, 382963-S100, but I have not found information on this part.
Posted my pictures again.
It looks like Deadnutson has something that may work.
