Title: 351 Hood Decal or Emblem on Shaker or 1970 Mach 1
Post by: Bongoman on April 11, 2010, 05:49:45 PM
Hello.  I am trying to determine how the 351 engine was designated on a 1970 Mach 1 with a shaker.  (San Jose build, January 1970 with 351c).

Here are two pictures of 1970 Mustang Mach 1's.  One has the 351 as a decal on the hood stripe.  The other has no decal on the stripe but has a 351 emblem on the shaker.  Which is correct?

I guess a third option is to have both the stripe decal and the emblem (but I haven't seen that and it seems like overkill.)

Thanks.

The 1970s had the decals, 69s had the emblem.
