Topic: Paper Wire Tags

I wanted to document all the paper tags found on my 66 convertible wiring (see below). I found quite a few but also a few were missing such as the alternator, starter solenoid, and fuse wire for power top. Those that were missing I actually found parts of tags but nothing there was legible. I've taken my guess at what they could be. If anyone has some pictures/comments of what I'm missing I would appreciate you posting them as I am going to recreate my own. I've already created quite a few as most are not available.

Phill, just trying to share and help others who are looking for information. You see a lot of vendors starting to reproduce tags but they don't always have everything your looking for, Gives someone maybe with a car close to mine in production who doesn't have this info to try and make their own. Also maybe someone has some of the information I'm missing to help me. Hope this catches on.

Scott Halseth at NPD has been very helpful at getting tags reproduced by ECS that they didn't already have.

I'll be using yours as a guide as I redo my interior and engine compartment.  Lots of my original tags are still there too.. I literally could'nt have a better car to go by since our cars are both Dearborn May '66 Sprint 200 Convertibles.  Mine build date is 18E and yours is 13E ....in May of '66.

I'll see what tags I still have that you haven't pictured yet..

Two components are missing: width of the tag; color of the back side. In most cases, the pictures do show whether the tag is wrapped on the harness, or looped and the ends glued together. Most of those are available as reproductions.
I'm looking for the tag for a 64 and early 65 full length console, and also the 64-65 short, A/C console to reproduce. I've cleaned up and posted the late 65 and early 66 full length console, and the 64 and early 65 console light pigtail, the one that goes on the end of the glove box (not the lamp on the top).

Though I do use it for reference Jeff from time to time to confirm the findings on mine and other unrestored cars I locate.

maybe I need to ask OP whether he did take the time to re-create those tags/labels
