69 Mach1 order of seam sealing & painting

Going to have some paint put on soon. In what order are areas painted, seam sealed etc? This is for a 69 Mach1 Black Jade built at San Jose on February 26 1969.
I have made some notes from Jeff and others, how close is the following?
is there anything I've missed or out of order?

apply seam sealer to body seams, panel edges such as roof lines, trunk and door openings.
in the trunk around the wheel wells, bumper brackets, taillight panel and around the top and front edge of the upper door hinge on each side.
   
sound deadener was applied to the interior side of the rear quarter panels, trunk seams, along the seams in the front fender wells and rear wheel wells as well as some interior locations.
What interior locations receive sound deadener ?

prime exterior body

 Undercarriage - undercarriage primer and/or batch combination was applied next.
red oxide from the firewall forward.
frame, inner fenders panels and the exterior surface of the shock towers was next applied.

Should there be some runs in the underbody paint and/or sound deadener? if so where?

Some seams and the inner seat belt reinforcements where chalked next. The quarter or floor drops and the seat belt points were applied with a brush or pushed out of a gun then smeared with a brush or thinner dipped rag.

sound deadener be applied to floor pans, the inner surface of the rear quarter panels, wheel side surface of the inner fender panels/aprons, insides of doors, and rear wheel wells

engine compartment paint is painted with flat black, the amount of overspray and further black application downward in the transmission tunnel and under floor was dependent on the height, age and effort of the painter that day
applied to all of the engine compartment up to the firewall pinch weld (above the pinch weld to the base of the windshield opening also was painted black depending on when the car was built and certain model types)
Does the engine bay flat black go right up to the lower front windscreen opening or is semi gloss black used there?(from the pinch weld to the windscreen)

Interior color on mine was red oxide, what areas on a Mach1 need to be blacked out with semi gloss black ? Front windscreen pillars? Fold down seat and trap door areas? Radio speaker area?

Exterior color was applied with some over spray flowing onto the undercarriage. The further a part of the pan hung down the more overspray it received. Can be a little or allot but never the whole floor pan.
In the rear wheel wells the area received a nice coat of paint in most cases and over spray/ nice coat often found its way onto the exposed rear frame rail  that are visible from the wheel well.
Is all the inside of the trunk painted with exterior color?

trunk lid, rear valance (hung by all the mounting screws but not pulled in at the bottom edge), quarter panel extensions (on but spaced away from the body) and doors attached.

All of hood is painted body color

In the front wheel wells the body color typically extended onto the firewall section and the rear inner fender panel, normally stopping short of the shock tower though on occasion did extend into it.

Headlight extension blacked out

The face of the radiator support received a nice coat of engine compartment black and often the black extended to the forward inner fender panel or at least overspray from the radiator support is evident. None of the stops and starts of paint in the inner fender wells appear to be exact and are more a reflection of the worker and his effort that given moment.

Next the pinch weld was blacked out. The outer edge was a soft edge so many painted just back mask the line. The over spray from this application would again cover some of the undercarriage as it would naturally. Again the more part of the pan hung down the more paint/black out it received. The amount of overspray generally would be less the distance that the body color travelled as it was applied with less pressure

Once the front fenders and the car assembled (just short of adding tires and wheels) were installed, the front wheel wells were blackout with sound deadener (except for Shelby's typically this year). The application could be best describes as between a little or allot but normally included as least the front splash shield, inner fenders (before and after the shock tower), the firewall section and the rear splash shield. On some cars an addition pass with the application wand was made up over the top of the bottom of the fender.

 additional sound deadener applied to the floor pans after most of the car was assembled minus driveline and exhaust it appears

What interior locations receive sound deadener ?

A thick sealer was used over all the seams (sprayed in a pattern approx 4-6" wide) as well as the inner seat platform to driveline tunnel to cover any burn through from the spot welding. Same goes for locations line the rear seat retaining brackets and the front floor board (the tilted section at the front) to the frame spot welds in a number of spots - for the same reason/concern. And also along the outer edges also (same floor panel) to the bottom of the cowl/a pillar seam

Sound deadener was applied on the quarter panel surface below the rear quarter window location typically as well as the bottom of the cowl - Note have seen some odd looking red oxide color stuff shot here but the regular sound deadener will work fine. Inside if each door (on the outer skin side) was coated also

On the undercarriage from the firewall rearward the batch color was applied by passing the body over a series of paint jets mounted below the tracks the car was traveling on from our understanding. These jets appear to have applied a fair amount of paint/sealer often producing drips at or on panels or edges that hung down the most.

On your Mach, later in the assembly - once everything but basically the driveline and exhaust not yet in place - a coating of sound deadener was applied on the floor pans from about the transmission support location rearward to about the rearend. Of course workers varied in the amount and where the product stopped and started.

My best examples suggest three passes (one down the center - front to back, one down the passenger side and one down the drivers side) appears the worker stood in the center of the car while applying more product at the rear of each pass of the application wand, than at the front sections

Typically base of the windshield (if a later car then its blacked out from the firewall pinchweld to the base) up both A pillars to the roof a pass behind where the cowl vents with be located and a pass over what would have been the defroster opening at the base of the rear window. Don't know why they did it or why the opening is there since it was not offered as an option - just what has been observered

Is all the inside of the trunk painted with exterior color?

Yes before the gas tank was installed (quarter extensions in place - but no nuts attached) all the surfaces were painted body color (seam sealers and sound deadener applied earlier) No rear attempt was made to paint way back (forward) along the quarter panels nor on the bottom of the panel below the rear window, often leaving those areas with a mixture of bare metal, red oxide, or body color overspray

The black for the engine compartment was applied to the engine compartment walls (inner fenders, radiator support - front and back, firewall) as well as all the welded on brackets, shock towers and such, from the top. As mentioned above the black continued to the base of the windshield opening  if its a later car. The surfaces in the front wheel wells from approx the rear splash shield (not installed yet) on the drivers side all the way around to what would become (not installed yet) the passenger side rear as well as the forward surface of the radiator support and front cross member were painted at the same time with the same engine compartment black
