« on: October 09, 2010, 12:33:31 PM »
What is the finish on a 1970 AT radiator, the connector for the transmission cooling lines and the petcock?

Originally the radiator was painted a pretty glossy lacquer black that quickly dulled after a few good drives

Must say that the next two are not so easy since these are not often photographed and originals, normally, are in poor condition to provide us with any clues

Don't believe that the brazed automatic trans fittings were masked off at time of painting and by the looks of at least the period service replacements (same suppliers so practices should have been the same of very similar at the time) it appears that the petcock was in place and painted.

Hope this helps
