Topic: Looking for advice on "cleaning" up and "protecting" 67-68 Rocker Panel Moldings

I have a pair of lightly used rocker moldings I've had stashed for forty years. I presume these were anodized and care must used to "clean/polish them. My car with plenty of horsepower and sticky tires (invitation to kicking up asphalt) will be driven hard occasionally. I'm considering using 3M clear paint protection film on them -- Anyone ever tried it on the 67-68 Rocker Panels?

Clear Plasti-Dip has been used for that very purpose. When you no longer need it, or it's worn and needs freshening up, just peel it off.



Note that removal on rocker moldings would be a little extra challenging, as it helps to have an accessible edge where you can start the peeling.
