67 390 A/C compressor brace
« on: September 07, 2015, 03:18:19 PM »
Did all 390's come with a tubular brace that went from  the compressor to the back of the intake ?( It was about 16" long) I saw one at Columbus on a red convertible and can't remember seeing one before. This car was an S code.

My '67 S code convertible, late April '67 New Jersey build, did not have one.
I don't always downshift, but when I do it is near a Prius so they can hear me hurting the environment.

Don't believe so. Changes in the idler and pump support bracket made them unnecessary and with Thermactor tubes and hoes the engine got really cluttered by 68

Guessing the "red car" wasn't an really nice unrestored example - more likely "restored"
